Male costume Idea's

Costume is an important part to a music video as it helps create a vibe and an image of the character.
From my research I found the clothing used in indie genre music videos is very trendy but smart, especially for males where as for females its more of a hippie festival look. The feedback from my focus group also showed how my target audience expect to see this clothing too, this is due to the stereotypical link between indie music and trendy clothing.

Male Clothing:

Shirt, Jeans, Trainers (quite a casual but smart look, from my research I have found that this clothing style is quite common in indie pop music videos)





 

Another common style in indie pop music videos is a denim jacket paired with a neutral coloured t-shirt and denim jeans.



In my music video the male will be dressed in a similar style to the images above because it shows the character to be viewed as trendy and relatable to the audience, it is quite an aesthetic look as well and will relate well to the target audience.
